Fixing a mouse on a laptop, Chromebook or Netbook
- Check a driver is installed
- Update the mouse driver on device manager. instructions here
- Download and Install the driver on the manufacturers website.
- Update the windows operating system. instructions here
- Use the orginal branded charger. e.g. you have an hp stream - get a genuine hp stream charger with the correct volts and amps which is written on the back or side of the laptop. (This also solves slow moving or jumpy/stuck mice.)
- Try using the mouse when not plugged in or using it when on charge. Expanding batteries can also cause problems with mice. Try the correct genuine charger before buying a battery.
